Democratic Gov. Neil Abercrombie wants to find a way to release more information about President Barack Obama's Hawaii birth and dispel conspiracy theories that he was born elsewhere. Abercrombie is a longtime friend of Obama and his family. So-called "birthers" claim Obama is ineligible to be president because they say there's no proof he was born in the United States, with many of the skeptics questioning whether he was actually born in Kenya, his father's home country.
"Information requests rose despite a new state law allowing officials to ignore persistent and repetitive inquiries, a law that has been used about six times by the department," Janice Okubo said (Spokeswoman of The Department Of Health).
Because Obama is a man of color I believe thats the only reason why people want prove his legit citizenship. No other president has delt with this problem except Obama. It's really sad to see how our country's people can't accept the fact that we have a president of color yet they're doing everything in their power to tarnish his reputation.

Bones found on island might be Amelia Earhart's
Last week, three bone fragments turned up on a deserted South Pacific island that lay along the course Amelia Earhart was following when she vanished. Nearby were several tantalizing artifacts: some old makeup, some glass bottles and shells that had been cut open. It could be months before scientists know for sure. Ric Gillespie, director of the International Group for Historic Aircraft Recovery, a group of aviation enthusiasts in Delaware, have made 10 trips to the island, trying each time to find clues that might help determine the fate of Earhart and her navigator, Fred Noonan. Other material recovered this year also suggested the presence of Westerners at the isolated island site
The island is on the course Earhart planned to follow from Lae, New Guinea, to Howland Island, which had a landing strip and fuel. Over the last seven decades, searches of the remote atoll have been inconclusive. Millions of dollars have been spent in failed attempts to learn what happened to Earhart, a Kansas native declared dead by a California court in early 1939. I think maybe one day with better technology we might be able to find small details of what happened.

Santa Tenure
This cartoon shows a teacher sitting on Santa's lap. Santa asks if the teacher has been agood teacher, and the teacher says they have tenure and being good doesn't matter. Which is saying that teachers or any other worker who has tenure really doesn't have to follow by any of the rules; the can kind of do what they want.

Obama, GOP reach deal to extend tax cuts
Despite opposing fellow Democrats, President Barack Obama announced agreement with Republicans Monday night to extend expiring tax cuts for all Americans, renew jobless benefits and grant a one-year reduction in Social Security taxes for millions. Also, tax breaks for business that the president said would contribute to the economy's recovery from the worst recession in eight decades. With unemployment still high the economy really couldn't afford for taxes to be raised, in my opinion. Honestly, this should've been done before everything became bad.

This picture shows Uncle Sam almost falling over a cliff trying to hold America's money, but he's being weighed down by taxes. The meaning is that taxes should be immediately cut. Also, in the photo it say "Fix the Ecomony back in 1 hour," and thats represents the Congress taking their time in finalizing the tax cuts.

Police arrest two people in gun incident at Euclid High School
An alert patron at the Euclid Public Library may have stopped a tragedy Thursday when he reported seeing someone pick up a gun and head toward the nearby high school. The Euclid library, high school and police station are all within walking distance of each other on East 222nd Street. Officers quickly descended on the school, which administrators had been put on lockdown. At the time, I was inside the school (chemistry class to be exact). My first thought was we might be here forever or maybe smeone may want to steal our chemicals. Anyways, at about 2:50 the lockdown was over and when I walked out the buliding, the police had the two guys caught in the student parking lot. Honestly, that was a close call.

US deploys 'game-changer' weapon to Afghanistan
After several years in the making, the army has released a new gun for the soliders. It is called the XM25; and it is about the size of a regular rifle. The gun fires 25mm air-bursting shells up to 2,300 feet (700 meters), well past the range of most rifles used by today's soldiers, and programs them to explode at a precise distance, allowing troops to neutralize insurgents hiding behind walls, rocks or trenches or inside buildings. The revolutionary advance involves an array of sights, sensors and lasers that reads the distance to the target, assesses elements such as air pressure, temperature, and ballistics and then sends that data to the microchip embedded in the XM25 shell before it is launched.
As far as the soliders safety I think this is a good weapon. However, each gun costs about 25 to 30,000 dollars each, and the Pentagon plans to purchase at least 12,500 of the guns. In contrast, the Army has said the XM25 can slash civilian deaths and damage, because its pinpointed firepower offers far less risk than larger mortars or air strikes.

WikiLeaks cartoon
This is a cartoon showing a mouse going through a file cabinet and important documents are coming out. Also, that is a representation of 9/11 and how the World Trade Centers were brought down. In addition, the real representation is of how the U.S. had a lot of it's international affairs and documents leaked onto this website, that basically is showing most of our past international affairs that have been secret since 2000.

St. Louis Most Dabgerous City
St. Louis overtook Camden, N.J., as the nation's most dangerous city in 2009, according to a national study released Sunday. The CQ Press concluded that St. Louis had 2,070.1 violent crimes per 100,000 residents, compared with a national average of 429.4. That helped St. Louis beat out Camden, which topped last year's list and was the most dangerous city for 2003 and 2004. Detroit and Flint, Mich., and Oakland, Calif., rounded out the top five. The annual rankings are based on population figures and crime data compiled by the FBI. Which some have found to be slightly irrational.
Erica Van Ross, spokeswoman for the St. Louis Police Department, said, "Crime is based on a variety of factors. It's based on geography, it's based on poverty, it's based on the economy".

Evacuating Troops
In this cartoon, Obama is with some of the military leaders. They addressing leaving afghanistan, and he says we'll postpone it until the next administration. Which means Obama is gonna do what Bush and previous presidents have done when it comes to evacuating troops from foreign countries; that is just have the next president do something about it.

GOP & Obama
In this cartoon, Obama is cleaning up excremete from the GOP elephant. And, Obama is saying that cleaning up after the elephant is basically what he's going to be doing for the next two years. To me, this means that the Republicans aren't going to let Obama pass any laws or have any control since the GOP controls the house.
Army enlists first Sikh since 1984
The U.S. Army has graduated its first Sikh (seek) enlisted man in a generation after granting a rare religious exemption for his turban and beard because the military needs his language skills. Army policies since 1984 had effectively prevented Sikhs from enlisting by barring those items. Spc. Simran Lamba was recruited under a special program seeking speakers of two Indian languages, Hindi and Punjabi. He became a U.S. citizen on Wednesday and hopes to become a combat medic.

25 states considering Arizona-style immigration laws
An immigrant-rights group has released a report, predicting that 25 states may try next year to pass anti-illegal-immigration laws similar to Arizona's controversial legislation. The number of states considering legislation modeled after SB1070, the bill that Arizona GOP Gov. Jan Brewer signed into law this spring. Georgia, Mississippi, Oklahoma and South Carolina are most likely to pass a similar law next year.
There were reports that from 2006 to 2008, municipalities passed a host of local laws and statutes cracking down on employers hiring illegal immigrants. This next wave of legislation, the report says, will be aimed at getting local law enforcement to check immigration status in routine police stops, as SB1070 mandates.
I don't know if this is because I'm not exposed to illegal immigration enough, but I don't see a big problem with immigrants. Remember that our constitution says that all men are equal, well, lets stop calling these people aliens and test their will. If someone really wants to be in this country why not give them a test of citzenship, and if they don't pass; they get deported. Yet, there was a time when America was a land of opportunity and promise, and this land was founded by immigrants now we're trying to keep them out.

Also, the general/leader is looking on the internet and notices that something has been leaked; he thinks that the country's enemies will see. Then Obama says "" REPUBLICANS! because the Republicans are his biggest enemy if you think about how almost every Republican is against him. In addition, he (Obama) believes the Repulicans leaked the information.

Winners and Losers under Obama
Even if you didn't notice, the country has changed a lot in two years under Obama. And, according to a recent article, there are those who are better off than two years ago; there are some who are facing tougher times. First, investors are better off, and corporations have also profitted in over $1.5 trillion the second quarter of 2010. Also, homebuyers are in better shape because of a market that is stabilizing and low interest rates, homebuying isn't as crucial as it use to be. In addition, consumers are better off; overall prices have only risen 2.6% in the past two years, and people are rationalizing money better because of tight incomes.
However, there are those whose situation hasn't improved. For undereducated people, the unemployment raised has raised to 15.4% for people without a diploma. Similarly, as housing, construction, manufacturing, and other industries that tend to employ less-skilled workers lag far behind the overall economy. Companies that are hiring, meanwhile, are cherry-picking workers with "multiple skill sets" and educational attainments that set them apart from hordes of others looking for work. Even though homebuyers are doing better, homeowners aren't; since November 2008, home owners have lost an additional $300 billion or so in the value of their homes, according to the latest data from the Federal Reserve. Also, low-income Americans haven't benefitted, and since people are unemployed the middle class continues to get smaller. Next, job seekers haven't benefitted. There were 10.6 million unemployed people when Obama got elected; today there are 14.8 million. And for every job opening, there are 4.6 applicants (up from 3.8 two years ago). So by that measure, it's harder to get a job today. In contrast, the worst of the recession is behind us, and America will improve economically.

Not Thinking Clearly
This picture shows Obama looking at the Midterm election, but he isn't paying attention to the voters on tv. On the television, democratic voters are confessing how they were for Republican decisions. However, Obama doesn't realize that because he is looking at the Midterm election sheet; he then realizes everyone is pretty much against him.

Civics Homework
This cartoon shows a kid doing his homework, and his parents are watching tv. The parents ask the kid if he did his homework; then, the son asks did they do theirs. To me, this means that adults and parents stress education on us, but they are clueless about politics and are careless voters. Judging from the picture the parents are watching tv but they're probably watching a political commercial and believing everything in it.

Legalizing Gay Marriage
Gay marriage is a topic that is very heavily debated in America. A lot of people are against legalizing it for reasons that are unconstitutional. However, there are people that are for it because of emotion and personal opinion. Personally, I am for gay marriage, but I wouldn't legalize it in America because of the fact that it may not work. In a class debate someone brought up how gay couples are known to be more promiscuous; and there were some statistics to support that claim.
The whole point of making a law is so it can make our society work. So, if only 20 something percent of gay couples remain married then that means the law isn't working and it shouldn't be legalized nationwide. If there are certain states where it works; it should be a law in those states.

Chilean Minor Cartoon
This cartoon is about the Chilean minors that survived in the mine. In the cartoon there are people from the future who see that the minors survived on a few cans of tuna until they see the bones of another person. It stating that for these men to survive they probably ate another man which is very disturbing. Hopefully, this isn't a true and it's just a myth.

In this photo there is the Titanic which is famous for hitting an iceberg. However, in the picture the ship avoids the Titanic; it's a republican cartoon because it says that, "Captain Obama should've never turned left," stating that he almost crashed the ship. Then it says "Elect us and we'll turn this ship around," which means that if the republicans were elected they'd take America back to the good times and prosperous days.
Political Cartoon "Obama on Mythbusters"
In the picture you see the two guys who host the show Mythbusters, and Obama is going to appear on an episode. However, Obama is asking if they can unbust a myth while trying to put his '08 campaign poster back together. To me, the message is that everyone has lost hope in Obama and thinks that his then motto is now just a myth. And, President Obama is trying to get Mythbusters to unbust the myth so everyone can believe in Obama again.

This is a modern political cartoon about the ignorance of Americans now in times. How someone cares more about a reality show, such as American Idol, more than their own government. The cartoon is just stating that maybe if American Idol was put on the ballot it would attract more voters. Also, it's kind of pathetic to realize that this is kind of true.

Stimulus works for Small-Town
Almost a year and a half ago, the government signed a stimulas to try to boost the economy. In most places the it didn't do much, in some places it helped slightly. However, in Kokomo, Indiana, home to four Chrysler plants and a Delphi facility, was as uncertain as the American auto industry itself. Now, the town's unemployment rate has dropped 6% (20 to 14). Also, new business has also been attracted to this town. But the housing industry is still buried in the dirt.
I like to see that the stimulus had some good effect in the country. This was a town that should have completely fell down the toliet because of their main industries, but they managed their stimulus right and now they're back on their feet and doing better. Also, this is might be a sign of what is to come in the country. However, some of the people working with Delphi might get laid off because of the merger with General Motors; so this could be a setback but only time will tell. I believe this could help Obama and Congress feel a little more accomplished because the stimulus worked with someone who managed the money right.

"Black Power Salute" gold medal for auction
At the 1968 Summer Olympics, gold medal winner Tommie Smith and Bronze medal winner John Carlos gave the "Black Power Salute"after being awarded their medals. Smith's gold medal and his running shoes are up for auction, however, he claimed to have lost the black glove years ago. That Olympics is one major moment in our country's history and in african-american history. Probably just as important as when Jessie Owens won in the 1936 Olympics in Berlin. Just imagine if Hitler was at the '68 Olympics, it would've been World War 3.
I believe there wasn't that much contreversy as people say there was. In America we preach freedom of speech and that is what Smith and Carlos did. Also, it was wrong for the Olympic committee to revoke their medals that they worked hard for, and didn't even cheat. Then, they sent a message to the world about civil rights in our country and where it stood at that time. This moment will stand the test of time.

Breast Cancer Awareness
Every October is Breast Cancer Awareness month. Over the past 2 decades Breast Cancer has become more relevant to our society, and we're trying all that we can to stop it. As of 2010. there are over 207,000 women living with breast cancer. On the contrary, there are 2 million people who have survived from breast cancer. Hopefully, one day we can find a cure to this disease. I believe that this has brought many people together.
Also, almost 40, 000 people have died from breast cancer. But, the rate of people under 50 who have died has declined because of mammograms ad quicker detections. Breast cancer I believe has affected every family in this country because I guarentee that everyone has a family member with it. Along with AIDS, I wish we could put an end to this plague that is killing our people.

Chinese Lashes out a Nobel Peace Prize Committee
The Chinese government continued its vilification campaign against the awarding of the Nobel Peace Prize to a jailed dissident, Liu Xiaobo, by canceling another meeting with Norwegian officials and lambasting the award. They're doing this as an example for Chinese people who plot against the government. Liu Xiaobo was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize, On Oct. 8, 2010, for recognition of “his long and nonviolent struggle for fundamental human rights in China.” He was also the first Chinese citizen to win the award. However, last December he was sentenced to 11 years in prison.
I believe that the Chinese government shouldn't deny him this dubious honor. Despite the fact that he has broken they're laws he has achieved something no one else in their esteemed past has done. And, this makes the Chinese image look terrible because of this situation. I condem the Norweigan Committee for still tying to give him the award, but thee is nothing they can do to fix this.

Endangered Minors
For over two months 33 miners have been trapped in a mine in Chile. Most recently, the U.S. and other countries have offered help to get the miners out. Now the plan to get them out is to get them one by one out by putting them into a cage, that will pull them out. However, there is some confusion on who goes out first. The four most fittest of frame and mind will leave first then after, the 10 weakest or most ill will leave
Shouldn't that be the other way around? I'd rather get the 10 most ill out first to give them medical treatment. Because the four most fit could take care of themselves. Also, the last person to leave is Luiz Urzua, who was shift chief when the men became entombed. For him to be the last one out, I believe he is very brave because something could go wrong during the other rescues, and he has to be in the mine the logest.

15 Minutes of Political Fame
In our country's history, there have been many political heroes and figures that have shaped and changed our country. Those people have a lasting impact on us forever. However, we have our share of Political One-Hit Wonders. And, those people have in some way made us laugh or have changed the way we see politics despite the fact that they probably won't be remembered. They did help change politics.
Then we wonder where those people are today. Recently, msnbc's BLTWY has looked 10 people that are Political One-Hit Wonders. One of them being Monica Lewinsky, who was famous for her affair with Bill Clinton while being an intern in the White House. She is now in London and just received her masters in social psychology at the London School of Economics. Also, Jack Abramoff who pled guilty in 2006 to fraud and corruption charges has said to be working at a Balitmore pizzeria. Then, Paul Bremer, who was credited for the U.S. strategy in Iraq is now a landscape painter. Those are just a few of the people on the list who had political relevance in America but have now faded out the limelight.

People Who Run for political Positions
When I look and see most of these politicians and candidates, most of them have one thing in common. Most of them are very rich and are in the upper escholon of the country. In a way, I take that as a negative. Most rich people don't live the life of an "average american", and some of the decisions they (politicians) make help people who have a lot in common with them. And those decisions don't help the average American.
However, I hate how us average americans can debate about whats wrong with our political system, when we don't do anything about it. Like, for once I'd like to see an average joe get up and stand up for the commondwelers of America. Lets start taking actions instead of sidebars. Honestly, the someone from less money knows what goes on in the communities and possibily knows easier solutions on how to fix them. But I know to that that is easier said than done.
I know that running for political office costs a lot of money, but there could be cheaper ways to broaden your appeal. Such as, the internet, post videoes, make a website, fanpages, etc. Also, another way is to try to get someone to publically endorse you, as in someone famous so people could possibly hope on the bandwaggan. I'm just really tired of seeing the same dry, dull people in the dry commercials. That's all I have to say.

I'm just really tired of seeing the same dry, dull people in the dry commercials. That's all I have to say.

Middle East progression
The Middle Eastern region of our world was once the most advanced and had the most fascinating culture. Also, it's empires have stood through the test of time. However, in the last 300 years the interest and the power of the Middle eastern region has significantly decreased. As a result, of religious conflicts and the formation of industrial based countries. We are at a time now where the Middle East is considered a place of second and third wolrd countries.
This is also something the people there are not happy about. People in the Middle East feel strong about their history and culture. But, people outside think nothing of it because it is simply just history and as far as the right now goes, Middle East countries are inferior. With such a rich history and influences on the things we do today, why aren't Middle East countries considered powers in the world? One simple reason is because they haven't changed their government or the industries of their country.
In most Middle East governments religion continues to be apart of the governement. Because of this, most countries aren't willing to make strides to become a world power because it doesn't fit the standards of their religion. Also, Middle Eastern countries have yet to go thrugh major industrializations and modernization. For example, some of the biggest cities there look like cities from biblical times. All I'm saying is if they're tired of being picked on by us bigger countries, then modernize, use some of the rsources you have, keep your religious beliefs seperate from the government, and probably the praise will be restored back to the Middle East.

GOP, "Pledge To America"
As the November election is coming closer, the Republicans are starting to make a push to re-gain superiority in the White House. They gave a "Pledge" in which they promised to end a slew of Democratic policies and restore Americans' trust in government as they rolled out a campaign manifesto designed to show they're listening to an angry public and are focused on creating jobs. Also, they plan on blocking Obama's plan for Healthcare and social security. With this pledge it seems like the next two years are going to be a stalemate in the White House.
Honestly in a partially bias opinion, I believe the Republicans in Congress are blocking all of the Democrats plans on purpose and are stalling enough so that in the election the Democrats running won't look as good as they were in 2006. This isn't good for the country because we aren't making any progress and the Senators in the White House should just put their personal pride aside because us ctizens are tired. And, with this "Pledge To America" how do we know it's not a return to what got us into this mess. For now, we don't know, and all we can do is wait.

Forbes 400: The Richest People in America
The Forbes 400 was released this week. This year the billionaires on the list were not hit by the recession. Some new faces are in the list such as Mark Zuckerberg, who was the co-founder of Facebook. He like most of the people in the top 20 are in the social networking or software business. This might be an example of how our country is changing.
There was a time when our country's richest people were involved with automobiles, oil, etc. Now as we are advancing, the internet seems to be where all the "get quick schemes" are at. Like now, most people are starting to get degrres for jobs on the internet or jobs dealing with computers and other technologies. I believe if the government is going to try and provide jobs or stimulate the economy, technology might be the route we have to go. Right now it's kind of like we're in a technilogical revolution, how many times do you hear aout a new iPhone, laptop, or constant improvements to HDTV.
After looking at this list, I can see where our main markets might be directed. And, the people who were smart enough to realize this too, have already been rewarded.

Former president draws up some controversy
Former president Jimmy Carter has a new book, White House Diary, coming to shelves around the country soon and it's turning some heads and raising some eyebrows. The book is basically kind of a diary of his times in the White House and some of the experiences. Also, he explains and touches on some of the issues which he is widely criticized for. Such as healthcare, which he proposed a bill during his presidency but it was rejected by Senator Ted Kennedy at the time.
When he was asked about is confidence in the politics of current, and he simply said no. He explained that with the way politics is changing and the way it's being explained is all distorted. In his book will probably be some shocking things and probably some things that might answer questions about the actions he took in the house. That was just my opinion. Even though, honestly, I may not read the book I'm sure I'll hear a lot about it.

Ban on Gays in the Military
Today the Senate decided on whether it should end the 17-year ban on gays in the military. However, the Democrats fell one vote of the minimum 60 votes to debate. There was no Republican, that supported the repeal. The move was widely unpopular among Republicans, military officers, and other conservatives. Honestly, whats the point of this law. This is one example of how America has lost it's freedom and discrimination is still alive and well.
I am one that supports gay rights, despite the fact that I'm not gay. I mean, it's hard to be a homosexual in this world, because the whole world is against you. In most cases, someones family, friends, and everyone around them turns their back on a person just because of their homosexuality. And, technically it isn't racism because it's kind of an ideology and it's just the way someone is. Just because someone is gay doesn't mean they're going to start trying to hit on the other soliders, I mean it's the military not prison I think gay people would act as if they had some class. Also, the military is majority male-dominant so someone who isn't gay could possibly change their preference.
I believe this is a dumb issue and people are putting their personal pride before the by-laws of this country. Gay people are people, just like you and me. The sterotype of a homosexual person is completely out of wack because of what we see on tv, movies, and in stories about prison too. For those who want to bring the bible into this, it says in short that God dislikes those engage in homosexual acts. In conclusion, gay rights will always be rejected be our country's conservatives for the test of time because of their refusal to accept others that are different.

The Failing Industries...Past the Break of No Return
As you know we are in an economic recession. During this recession many businesses have folded and closed. Even more important, many industries have been hit badly with record-breaking profit loses, high unemployment with reoccurring layoffs, and multiple bailouts and mergers. The State & Local government jobs' industry has been hit the worse. Unemployment for this industry continues to rise. A recent report by the National Governors Association and the National Association of State Budget Officers found that 22 states furloughed employees and 25 laid off workers during fiscal year 2009-10.
Most of these industries helped build our country in the 20th century. So now that most of these industries are failing, what does that mean for the future? Are their new and upcoming industries that will take our country by storm or are we witnessing the end of our economic stability. However, for some of these industries people are being replaced by technology. Just because a machine can do the work of 75 workers, it is ok to let those 75 people go. Yeah thats clever , but as sales of many products are down, it's not so bright to mass produce a product. The Realtor industry has been shrinking day by day in the past 4 years. As less and less homes are being sold, it's almost become inpossible to make money. So, whatever happened to that bailout plan, hasn't worked.
I think one way to stimulate these businesses is to do something of the New Deal style. Start re-building roads, projects in other countries, bring some of those foreign jobs back home. Also, fix roken and abandon houses. We should do anything and everything to keep our economy stimulated and people busy. Because as I said before these markets have built our country and are the backbone.

The Democatic Disappointment
Back in 2008, Barack Obama entered the White House with a majority Congress of Democrats. At that time the U.S. was in it's worse economical period since the Great Depression, and with a new president and congress there was a lot of hope for change. Two years later not much has changed.
Out of all the promises and potential, most of it was just hype. In November, there will be in election, and we don't know if our government will take another shape shift or fight it out with the same house that's there now. I believe one of the reasons why we haven't made any progress is because most of the Congress men are putting their own pride before the well-being of the country. We always hear how Obama or the Democrats purpose a bill and the Republicans reject, same in visa versa.
Also, President Obama was put in almost a "lose lose" situation. However, in 2006 when the democrats basically took over the house they could have prevented this economic crisis that was bubbling in the process. All I'm saying is this situation could've been avoided, and now there's really no option. Despite the fact I can't vote, I would like to see the Democrats in the house get re-elected and a few added because as we know Democracy takes time to be successful. And to get out an economic situation it takes time. It took almost 10 years to get out of the Great Depression, but the main reason why we got out is because of WWII. In conclusion, this might be the start of very crucial elections in the U.S. and we have to pick each candidate wisely and focus on the issues; also, pick whoever will cooperate with the rest of the house.

Iconic 9-11 Figures and Where They Are Now
At the link below you'll see an article on some of the people who helped extremely major parts to save the country, beyond their own job descriptions, and some others.

9-11....9 years later
Approxamently 9 years, 4 hours and 30 minutes ago, the Twin Towers that were apart of the World Trade Center, was hit by 2 airplanes. Ever since that day our country hasn't been the same. I mean it's nice to see that we've amped up our homeland security and honored those who helped save and risk their own lives with only minutes to come up with plans and schemes. Also, I'm glad to see that we have moved on from it. And those Americans who were involved, have moved on with their lives.
However, that day had some negative effects on us. We've blamed people who weren't even involved because politicians put there own pride before the country. Since 9/11, Americans have completely lost respect for people of Middle-Eastern descent. Like, everytime we see or notice an Arab person, Islamic, etc. we automatically assume terrorist or suicide bomber. Our country has gone back to the concept thinking of paranoia like the days from The Cold War. Now, with the war in Iraq and troops in Afghanistan, we've put our country in a "Lose Lose" situation. Then, for almost 20 years we've been searching for a guy whose worth more than a Professional Sports Franchise. Because of the fact that we've never found him, I'm starting to question if he is even real, and us trying to search for him is just a plot by Al Queda so we won't try to come down on the other members.
All I'm saying is, what happened, happened. There were heroes, there were villians. The other day in class my teacher talked about how, Americans didn't believe something like 9-11 could happen at that time, and I'm realizing that he's right. If you think back, at that time and really in the 90's, we didn't have to worry about being bombed or anything like that because all of those worries really ended with the Cold War in the late 80's. So, as the time passed our attitudes were kind of laid-back because our most biggest fear that we had, which was nuclear war, was behind us and there as nothing to fear and life was pleasant. But now all of that has changed and everything that used to be important isn't, like the economy, healthcare, social security, etc. and the only reason why those things are being stressed is because they're falling fast, because when we had the chance to keep them steady we focused on somebody else trying to bomb our country. In conclusion, I would like to send my condolences to the families of those who had some pass during 9-11, and a thank you to those who fought a battle home turf that day, also take a look back and see how everything has changed and shapeshifted around us.

Post #1...Cleveland is Named One of The Most Stressful Cities In the U.S.
Before I start, I would like to take the time out to say this is he first of many posts I will be making so stay "posted" and enjoy. In a recent study conducted by Portfolio.com, Cleveland, Ohio was ranked as the 3rd most stressful city in the country, and Detroit, Michigan was #1. And is #1 as far as worst crime rate. I am a person that lives near Cleveland but not exact in Cleveland. One of the things I think of is, what are the government and people, mainly the government, dong to stop this. I mean, they (the city) hires more policemen who do absolutely nothing while they are on the job, and a lot of times they catch the wrong people who did nothing at all. Honestly, I know as a more poverty stricken city there will be more crime but of course there would be a high case of robberies if nothing is being done to stop it.
