This is a modern political cartoon about the ignorance of Americans now in times.  How someone cares more about a reality show, such as American Idol, more than their own government.  The cartoon is just stating that maybe if American Idol was put on the ballot it would attract more voters.  Also, it's kind of pathetic to realize that this is kind of true.
